Hi, I’m Krystle - a Design Ops Advocate based in Los Angeles. I strive to build a strong design culture and empower our team of designers to deliver meaningful experiences to our customers.
I enjoy making sure that design, product, and development are in sync, while also mentoring and leading the design team. My studies in animation provided me with the innate skill of being a storyteller. I believe that every product should be able to tell a great story and that stories should imbue characteristics of empathy, delight and take the user on a journey.
Experience
As the senior manager of design ops, I focus on the orchestration and optimization of people, process, and progress. I make sure that everyone is on the same page, understands their roles and responsibilities, and has the resources they need to do their job.
One of the most signification achievements during my tenure as Senior Manager of DesignOps is consolidating multiple design groups and implementing a standardized design process. My team was able to improve collaboration because A standardized process makes it easier for different design teams to collaborate seamlessly. Team members from various departments can understand and work with each other's designs more effectively, promoting cross-functional teamwork.

Senior Product Design Manager
As the Senior Product Design Manager, I elevate the team’s standards and delivery in user experience, visual design as well as customer experience. I guided our designers to produce high quality delivery of key artifacts: competitive analysis, requirement gathering, user workflows, and prototypes.
Collaborating across multiple teams, I helped launch the Magnolia app this past July - which allows users to be fully immersed in the Magnolia brand experience. This opportunity also allowed me to partner with team leads to define and evolve an end-to-end process.

UX/UI Design Manager
Working closely with the VP of UX Design, I was tasked with accurately assessing the capabilities and strengths of our team members and helped with assisting in the establishment of standards for outstanding quality work. I provided regular design feedback, guidance, and facilitate collaboration between team members. I worked cross-functionally with our product, project management, engineering, and content teams to ensure a cohesive development process.
I also oversaw the creative operation portion of the team to create artwork for our different platforms. I’ve partnered with our platform programming team as well as our content operations team to inspire creative work and engage our audience.
